Other playful glass interpretations of hamam clogs in gummy bear colors lightly mimik, resemble Dada objects.
Sheild. Pate de verre - hand made metal glass
Elegant and fragile looking glass shields made from pate de verre and gigantic Ottoman firman's hang in the setting of a restored hamam. Walking on the transparent floors revealing the mechanisms of the historic bath can be a bit distracting and an amusing test for the nerves.

'I wanted the kaftans to symbolically show the multicultural makings of the city' with metal weavings similar to 'Byzantine armour' said Bakiri in a short conversation on location. Yasemin Aslan Bakiri is founder of Camhane in Balat, a studio where she has worked and taught the traditional art of glass making for many years.
